Cachoeiro Stone Fair is a place for meeting and sharing. A business tool for companies, but beyond that, it is designed and built by people, and for people. Therefore, we need to communicate an important decision, taken with great care, study and taking into account the health and well-being of everyone involved in the event.
In the last months, we came across a scenario that prevents the continuation of events and fairs around the world, given the progression of Covid-19. Following the orientations of the competent parts for the prevention and containment of the disease, we see as the most prudent decision to continue avoiding crowding and intense transit of people as much as possible, which is the case of an event the size of Cachoeiro Stone Fair.
Therefore, Milanez & Milaneze, organizer of the fair, with the knowledge of the Sindicato das Indústrias de Rochas Ornamentais, Cal e Calcários do Estado do Espírito Santo – SINDIROCHAS, the Centro Tecnológico do Mármore e Granito, CETEMAG, promoting entities of the event, communicates that it was necessary to make the difficult decision of not holding Cachoeiro Stone Fair this year, confirming the next edition for 2021, August 24th to 27th, in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espirito Santo.
We are deeply sorry, but, in this current scenario, ensuring the health and well-being of all those directly and indirectly involved with the fair, such as exhibitors, sponsors, visitors and suppliers, must be a priority.
New projects for a new reality
Despite the limitations that arise in the midst of the pandemic, we want to continue doing the work we have been proud of over the past three decades: to be a driving platform for small, medium and large businesses, adding value and facilitating the growth of our partners.
To this end, we are already committed to carrying out a new project to listen, engage and boost the stone sector: the Stone Summit. The project will act by connecting opportunities through the generation of valuable content, digital meetings and market intelligence for entrepreneurs! In addition, we intend to carry out, in August this year, a virtual action in the period that traditionally hosts the fair.
These are ideas that point out ways for the sector to operate within a new reality, but they are not intended to replace the fair in its traditional format. We believe that the connections created and nurtured by events such as Cachoeiro Stone Fair are irreplaceable, and that, despite being adept and grateful for all the technologies that allow us to carry out incredible projects at a distance, we will emerge from this crisis with a great desire for closer ties and relationships, valuing even more moments like a handshake or eye-to-eye conversation.
Covid-19 arrived in the midst of many plans, yours and ours, but, like the other crises that we have already gone through – and overcome – together, this too shall pass.
